Tri-color Antique Seamstress Ring 18K Gold 1890
I don’t say this lightly but this is one of the most exquisite antique rings I’ve had the joy of finding. Crafted entirely in 18k gold with a buttery high-karat glow, she stretches long and graceful over the finger like a little golden shield.
And a shield she was: these elongated rings were worn by the upper class when seaming in the 1800s and early 1900s to protect their fingers while sewing. Practical, yes; but also wildly glamorous.
This particular beauty is adorned with an intricately hand-engraved border and a dreamy bouquet of roses in rose, green, and white gold. That tricolor floral work is not enamel, not painted, it’s solid gold in three hues, layered and textured with meticulous detail. A true testament to old-world craftsmanship and patience.
She’s a size 2 and can be sized to 4.5
By your local jeweler (or mien for a fee). Excellent vintage condition with only light wear.
