Gorgeous Vintage Silver Chain with Faceted Rock Crystal Pendant 519226
A drop of frozen light - that is the only way I can describe her!
This little silver necklace with her big faceted rock crystal pendant is the kind of piece that catches the eye before you even know why. There is something so quietly mesmerizing about a well-cut rock crystal - no color, no pretense, just pure brilliance and light doing their thing. She is modest and magnificent at the same time, and I am completely smitten.
The pendant measures around 1.8 inches in length, which gives her just the right presence - not too bold, not too shy. She sits right at that sweet spot on the collarbone at 15 inches where everyone will notice her and ask where you got her. The silver setting frames the crystal beautifully, solid through and through, with that lovely aged patina that only comes with genuine time and history.
Now, I do want to be fully transparent with you as I always am, the crystal has a teeny teeny tiny nick at the bottom edge. Honestly? You would have to be looking for it. It does absolutely nothing to diminish how she sparkles and catches the light. A little character, I say.
I imagine her belonging once to a woman who kept things simple but always chose quality. A teacher, maybe, or an architect - someone who wore the same three silver pieces all the time.
Excellent condition with normal signs of age. All colored/dark areas are just reflections from the surroundings and camera.
