A sublime antique aquamarine pendant that stopped me in my tracks the moment I saw her.
This pendant from 1916 is pure ARTISTRY, a cushion-cut clear aquamarine nestled in the most delicate filigree and granulation work you can imagine. The granules are tiny little golden spheres, each one placed by hand by someone who clearly had all the patience in the world and none of the shortcuts. The aquamarine herself sits in that dreamy, watery blue-green that only a real stone can do; calm and luminous and somehow both antique and completely modern at once.
She carries full Swedish hallmarks for carat and year. I imagine her first owner was a woman who traveled; Rome in the summer, Stockholm in the winter, always with something beautiful around her neck. She knew how to live. This pendant was her proof 🩵
The pendant measures around 44 x 24 mm so she has real presence without being overwhelming. The aquamarine is natural and super big on 8×7 mm. Total weight comes in at around 4 grams. She is 18K gold, solid through and through.
