Known as the oldest allegorical symbol in alchemy, the ouroboros represented the concept of eternity and endless return, as well as the unity of time’s beginning and end.
Old ouroboros earrings are so so rare to find and I was super excited to get my fingers on two pairs this week. This is the second pair and they are slightly larger than the first pair. These are 12 mm in diameter.
They date to the late 1700s early 1800s and they are in excellent condition and working perfectly.
They are 18K gold and has an amazing color. The are backloaders and go in from the back of the ear instead of the front.
